Mr. Cox has been a venture capital investor since 1983 and retired in 2024 as a Venture Partner at Emergence Capital Partners in San Francisco. He currently resides in Los Altos Hills, California, and is a grandfather of six. He received a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.
